In 2019, TIKA expanded her artistic horizons by venturing into film scoring, honing her craft at the prestigious Canadian Film Centre. Since then, she has skillfully scored six short films, two animated series, and two feature films. Her collaboration with Casey MQ earned her the coveted 2022 Canadian Academy Award for Best Original Song for the powerful track in the film Learn To Swim, a testament to her remarkable talent.
As a singer, TIKA has graced the stage alongside R&B luminaries such as John Legend and NAO, captivating audiences with her magnetic presence. Recognized by Complex Magazine as “One of the most prolific creatives in Toronto,” her debut album, Anywhere But Here, released in Spring 2021, showcases her distinctive voice and artistic evolution. As she prepares to unveil a new chapter in her artistic journey, TIKA is set to relaunch her image and sound in 2025 with the highly anticipated sophomore album, All About Love and her upcoming EP, Parish. She has also transitioned mindfully into Soundbowl meditation healing and intends to integrate that into her album by creating a project that resonates reverberations of high frequency and truth.
